Pokemon GO has a new feature - Collection Challenges. Collection Challenges are a neat concept that challenges players to collect Pokemonpresented during certain of events... Various tasks for collecting animals will be presented at different game events.
Collection Challenges - what are they?
Completing Challenge Missions grants various in-game rewards and adds tiers to the new Elite Collector Medal. To start the Collection Challenge, you need to open the tab Today... Here you can see a list of the Pokémon that are participating in the current challenge. At the end of a game event, the associated Collector Challenge is closed and can no longer be completed.
In a sense, these tasks are similar to timed quests, only their completion counts towards the progress of obtaining the Elite Collector's Medal:
First Collection Challenge - Unova Event
January 5, 2021 began Unova Celebration event and the first collectible quest became available. It can be completed by catching some Pokémon with region Unova — Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Lillipup, Herdier, Roggenrola, Solosis, Ferroseed and Blitzle:

This collection has received the following award:
 3000 Stardust |  30 Poke Balls |  5 Rare Candy |
While these rewards are not extremely lucrative for many players, this feature is a great additional mechanic.
