On Saturday, February 1, 2020, we may perform special field queststo cast your votes.
Voting for Pokémon on Community Day February 2020
This voting process appears to be an experiment, and as such, Niantic hopes to make Community Day even better. This is how it all works.
January 22 was Pokémon announcedwho will participate in such a tournament and will be able to get the chance to become a Pokémon of the Community Day. In addition, their exclusive attacks were reported. Also, there are field studies that we will need to complete in order to vote for our preferred Pokémon from the list:
Pokemon | Super attack of their evolution |
Vulpix | Weather Ball |
Machop | Payback |
Rhyhorn | Rock Wrecker |
Dratint | Superpower |
Field quests for voting
To ensure fairness, all Field Research Candidate Challenges will have the same goal we need to complete in order to vote for Community Day Pokémon in February 2020. The goal of all the field missions that we will need to complete is to catch 20 Pokémon and get 200 stardust as a reward.
Here are four quests that will be available on voting day:
Vote for Machop Community Day! | Catch 20 Pokémon |
Vote for Rhyhorn Community Day! | Catch 20 Pokémon |
Vote for Vulpix Community Day! | Catch 20 Pokémon |
Vote for Dratini Community Day! | Catch 20 Pokémon |
These quests will be available on voting day, Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 23:59 pm in your local time zone. Each PokéStop on that day will have a poll-related research task. If the PokéStop you are spinning does not give you the quest for the Pokémon you want to vote for, then start another PokéStop. Niantic has ensured an even distribution of quests among PokéStops. Also, they took into account areas in which there are fewer of them.
One completed quest is equal to one vote for the Pokémon specified in the completed task. You can complete more than one Research Voting Mission, and each of them will count as a vote for any Pokémon listed in a separate mission.
Be sure to make your choice. Stay safe.
