Trainers, today, December 10, 2020 at 16:00 PST (GMT -8), a special one-day event will begin in Pokemon GO to celebrate The Game Awards. It will end in exactly one day - on Friday, December 11 at 16:00 PST (GMT -8). During this themed event, the Team GO Rocket and some bonuses will be available.
The Game Awards 2020 Special Event
Below are all the details of this short-lived Pokémon GO event:
- The event starts on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 16:00 PST (GMT −8);
- The end of the event is Friday, December 11, 2020 at 16:00 PST (GMT −8);
- Incense item will lure Pokemon more effective;
- Pokemon Wooper will spawn more often;
- The amount of stardust received when catching Pokémon will increase;
- When using Charged TM, a shadow Pokémon can forget its charged attack Frustration;
- Team GO Rocket will be more often grab pokéstops and appear on their balloons.
How to watch the award ceremony
The official The Game Awards website will have the ability to watch the action on one of 45 supported platforms. What’s especially interesting is that Pokémon GO is not among the nominees. The only Pokémon game you'll find there is Pokémon Cafe Mix, a free puzzle game from the Pokémon Company.
