Kanto is the first region in the Pokémon universe.

Kanto — the first region in the Pokémon world and the first accessible region in Pokémon GO at its launch in 2016. It is based on the real-life Kanto region of Japan, which includes Tokyo. This region is home to Pokémon introduced in the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue (or Pokémon Green in Japan), as well as their sequels.

First generation Pokémon

Kanto Special Pokemon

Some Kanto Pokémon can Mega Evolve, allowing trainers to gain powerful forms for battle, such as: Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise.

There are also Gigantamax Pokemon, which have recently appeared in the game.
