Johto is the second region in the Pokémon universe.

Johto Johto is the second region in the Pokémon universe and the second generation added to Pokémon GO, following Kanto. It is based on the real-life Kansai region of Japan, which includes the cities of Kyoto and Osaka. The world of Johto first appeared in the classic Game Boy Color games Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, introducing 100 new Pokémon.

Pokémon can be encountered depending on the time of day—some appear only in the morning, others at night. The weather also influences their spawning, making hunting even more challenging.

Second generation Pokémon
