After several weeks of testing in Australia referrals are now available to all Pokemon GO players. This new referral program offers coaches rewards for referring friends. The system provides in-game items for both the specified trainer and the provider of the code. There are some pretty good rewards for referrals too.

Pokémon GO referrals and how to invite a friend
Using the referral code in Pokemon GO, you can invite your friends or just new trainers who have not yet registered in the game. Also, according to your code, it is possible to lure friends who did not use application and haven't logged into their accounts for more than 90 days.
How to use your referral code:
- Start Pokemon GO game.
- Click on your avatar icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
- Go to tab friends.
- Click the Invite button.
- Record and share a referral code with a friend.
Alternatively, you can share your referral code directly on social media by clicking the Share Invite Code button.

As part of this referral program, you need to complete many tasks so that both players can receive additional rewards:

All of these tasks must be completed by the guest trainer to be considered complete. Most of the quests were designed to keep said trainer involved in the game for some time - at least a month if the quest requirements were anything to go by.
Be sure to add the listed player as a friend in Pokémon GO in order to be able to claim rewards.
