Trainers, developers decided to implement a very convenient sorting tool in Pokemon GO Pokemon — tags. This step was necessary as there are more and more Pokemon, and players have huge collections. Tags will help you categorize animals based on certain characteristics, skills, or features to make them easier to access.

Tags and how they work in Pokemon GO

All players now have the option to create a new tag on the Tags page in their Pokémon inventory.

How to make a tag in Pokemon GO:

In the map view mode, press the main menu button.
Go to the Pokémon Vault.
Tap the Tags heading in the menu at the top.
On the Tags page, click the Plus button.
Enter a name for the new tag and select a background color.
Tap on Done.
On the new tag page, click the Add Pokémon button.
Select a Pokémon from the list.
Tap Select to apply the new Tag to the selected Pokémon.

How to manage tags:

In the map view, press the main menu button.
Press the Pokémon button.
In the bag, select a Pokémon with a mark.
Tap on any of the tags on a Pokémon under its HP bar, or press Tags in the Pokémon's action menu.
From this menu, you can remove a tag, add another tag to a Pokémon, or see all Pokémon with that tag in the collection.
